What if..

What if nothing happens in the very beginning?
Each to their own paths,
Each to their (separate) dreams.

What if our paths never crossed?
Perceptions of joy,
Perceptions of happiness,
Perceptions of togetherness,
Would differ entirely.

What if it did not happen?
The companionship,
The little banters,
The thoughts of the future,
Would march on.
Foundation or the building blocks,
Would be carried out, indefinitely.

What if, it's too late now?
Beautiful thoughts in stasis,
Great times only to be through recall,
New sights,
New sounds,
New experiences,
Independent to one another.

What if, it doesn't matter anymore?
The mask wouldn't have been perfected,
Often after the show,
Does the balancing act occurs,
At the very least - a room for the soul to express itself.

What if, things still linger?
Priorities would differ,
Relations take a step back,
The first and foremost is always as it is.

What if, there are no other choices?
Re prioritize,
Live with it,
Learn to let go,
Appreciate people.
Melancholy - only to an extent,
Moderation is key,
To avoid bumps to further pursuits in life.
